Tournament Information
The NSWBA has regular sessions at their premises. There are a variety of games offered to cater for all standards. If you wish to inquire about the most suitable game or are looking for a partner then contact the office.
The NSWBA is the organiser of State Championship events as defined in the ABF's Masterpoint Manual (Red masterpoints at Level B, base weighting of 5.0). For a complete list refer to the State Events page.
As well as these games, there are a number of congresses that are held throughout the year. The dates of these events are available on the Calendar.

MASTERPOINTS
Masterpoints are awarded at every session of bridge at the NSWBA. In addition, any multi-session event attracts an outright award. Awards are made to the top half of the field in all pairs events. The greater the number of sessions and tables in an event, the greater the number of masterpoints awarded.
Normal red point sessions have a weighting factor of 2.5. State Championships (generally Monday night, Wednesday night, some Tuesday daytime or week-ends) receive red masterpoints with a weighting factor of 5.0. All sessions in the Grand National Open Teams (GNOT) receive Gold Masterpoints.
ECLECTIC EVENTS
Eclectic events are multi-session events in which you do not need to play every session. If you do play more than the minimum number of sessions, then only your best scores are counted. Eclectic events attract higher masterpoint awards than single session events.
WALK-IN DUPLICATES
Tuesday morning sessions award red masterpoints at Grade B or B4 and are generally part of a multi-session event.
