Fee Changes
As you are aware, there are changes afoot for the NSWBA. Two entities will be created, one organising Championship Events & promoting bridge across the State and the other focussed on running our Sydney Bridge Club, one of many bridge clubs within NSW.
As part of the plan to make both entities financially sustainable, and at the same time retaining the property in Goulburn Street, an increase in fees will be implemented on November 1, 2023. These fee changes have been endorsed by the Council and have been foreshadowed in emails I sent recently to Members and Affiliated Clubs.
The old fees are tabulated below with the new fees shown in red.

As stated in my previous email to club members, these price rises will help improve SBC’s financial outlook, but will still not be enough to achieve financial stability. We are therefore also looking at other initiatives to improve the bottom line, including attracting and retaining new players and finding ways to make better use of our space in the city premises. These ideas will take some time to implement.
