Message from the president of the Orange Bridge Club, Murray Paterson:

"Owing to the onset of the pandemic created by COVID-19 it has become necessary on medical advice to either cancel or postpone the NSW Novice and Restricted Pairs from the weekend of 21/22 March 2020.

The advice we have been given is that risk of having players from different locations joining in a confined venue in a week's time is unacceptable and we should not proceed with the event. Under these circumstances the Orange Bridge Club regrets this decision which is created by factors outside our control.

As this epidemic passes we hope it may be possible to reschedule the event later in the year.

The planned Director’s workshop to be run by John McIlrath on Friday 20 March has also been cancelled."

The Orange Bridge Club on behalf of the NSWBA invites players with fewer than 300 masterpoints to play in the the State Novice and Restricted Pairs Championship to be held on March 21-22.

Novice is defined as those with fewer than 100 masterpoints and Restricted as those with fewer than 300 masterpoints as at 1 January, 2020.

ABF First place getters in the Restricted section will receive free entry to the Restricted Butler Pairs at the ANC Restricted Butler Pairs in Adelaide on 18-19 July, 2020 plus an associated travel/accommodation subsidy courtesy of the ABF.
