MONDAY NIGHT EVENTS - 2012
* Events marked with an asterisk (*) are State Championships and receive red
masterpoints with a weighting factor of 5.0. (Normal red point sessions have a
weighting factor of 2.5.) All sessions in the Grand National Open Teams (GNOT)
receive Gold Masterpoints.
A Swiss teams event. The field will be split into three prize pools: teams
containing silver and gold grandmasters in one pool, teams without silver or
gold grandmasters and teams without any grandmasters. Prizes will be awarded to
the winning team in each pool.

A match-pointed pairs event. Non-mixed pairs may play in the qualifying rounds.
Depending on the initial number of entries, the NSWBA will pay the entry fee to
the week-end final on 26-27 May for up to 10 pairs.

A board-a-match teams event.
Top
Matchpointed pairs events. The winners of the Men’s and Women’s Pairs will have
their names inscribed on the NSWBA honour board. Mixed pairs may enter, but are
ineligible to win.

A Butler pairs event. Winners will receive grants (in the form of having their
entry fees paid) to attend the ANC Butler Pairs in Darwin on 14 July, 2012.
Separate Open and Women's fields

A knock-out teams event (28 board matches) with Swiss repechage (14 board
matches). Two teams qualify directly to the National Final, held from 30
November - 3 December. One seventh of the field will qualify for the GNOT
Metropolitan Final to be held on 22 & 23 September. Gold masterpoints.

A match-pointed pairs event. Depending on the initial number of entries, the
NSWBA will pay the entry fee to the weekend final on 20-21 October for up to 10
pairs.

A knock-out teams event with Swiss repechage. One team from the knock-out and
two teams from the Swiss will qualify to the Finals to be held 14-16 December.
Five teams from the affiliated clubs, representing the metropolitan (2), outer
metropolitan (1) and country (2) regions, also qualify for the Finals.

A Swiss teams event. Each team must contain at least one female and one male
member. Non-mixed teams may enter as non-contending teams.
