Home is where the heart is

Some weeks ago I wrote to members asking for their comments about a suggestion that NSWBA Council consider combining resources with North Shore Bridge Club to create a home for bridge in Sydney somewhere on the lower North Shore.

A significant number of members have told me the reasons why for them the North Shore would not be a good move. We will take note of their concerns!

I anticipate that the new NSWBA Council elected at the Annual General Meeting this month will turn its collective mind to the best way forward for the NSWBA, whether at our present home or elsewhere. There is no commitment to, or immediate plans for moving, in the near future if at all.

One thing is certain - I'm confident Council would not consider going ahead with any change of premises without putting the proposal to a General Meeting of members.
