You are East and having been dealt this modest collection of cards, you can only sit back and watch as the opponents bid speedily to game. North opens with a preemptive 3S bid showing 7 spades and about 6-10 HCP. In light of this South decides that making 9 tricks is a decent chance and bids 3NT.

Partner leads the C5 and dummy plays the 6. There is not too much to think about yet, so you simply play the CJ.
